Pioltello, province of Milan, 2009. The “Satellite” is one of the most problematic places, the outskirts of the outskirts of the great metropolis, the thorn in the side of a municipality unequipped to solve the problems of the microcosm that seems to have concentrated within these dozens of tower blocks sprouted in the sixties. But where there is a problem, there are also the people trying to solve them, to live a dignified life… despite everything. I’ve searched this multi-ethnic community to find a smile, a prayer, amusement, and the hope driving this neighbourhood, currently still undergoing restructuring.
